Good evening ! What a day made to batches of cookies for my husband and 10 bagels for me. Slipped in some corn muffins (Skinny Of Course).

Prepping food was discussed at the Saturday meeting. I didnt find that a lot of folks are planning their menus and are not prepping. These two activities make my life so much easier. I know it is not for everyone. So do what you are comfortable with.

On hand items that I do each week are listed below.

Boil Eggs

Saute Beef or Turkey

Grill or bake Chicken Breast

Roast a big batch of Veggies

Clean Fruits and freeze some

Make breakfast Sandwiches

Clean salad greens and other salad items

Plan a menu


This week i am having several soups. These are coming from Simple Nourished Living

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY


I am enjoying this holiday looking out the window because it is so hot outside. I did make a grocery run as we are probably going to have rain for a couple of days. This is okay with me I love rain. and cold weather weather.

I just finished cooking for the week for Steve and I and the menu is different for a change.

Main dishes:

Zatarain's Gumbo Mix with Rice, I added a bag of frozen okra and 2 cans of ting shrimp. 3 points per cup.

Barbecued Pork country style ribs slow cooked and seasoned with Mr. Hughs Sugar Free sauce 6 points for a 3oz serving.

Red Beans Pressure Cooked with Al Fresco Chicken Sausage (Sweet Italian) one link 3 points beans 0 points and rice 1/2 cup 3 points.

Grilled catfish 0 points


Chicken breast 0 points


Potato Salad  4-7 points depending on mayo composition. I used Avocado oil mayo 2 points per tablespoon of mayo.

Corn on the cob 0 points

Asparagus grilled 0 points

Deviled Eggs WW recipe 0 ponts

Low Fat Mixed Berry Muffins 3-4 points each makes 12, Gina's WW recipes.

Homemade Bagels  Greek Yogurt and self rising flour 2 points
